Day 1 ARUSHA / TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park.
The park consists of natural vegetation mainly of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.
This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.

Day 2 TARANGIRE / LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, depart to the Lake Manyara national park for a game drive. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake.

Day 3 MANYARA / NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA
After an early breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Picnic lunch

Day 4 NGORONGORO / SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Early morning breakfast and after depart to Serengeti National Park. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Dr. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man’, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution. Afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breathtaking view. With an overall land area of 14,763 Sq Kms, It puts our notion about distance to shame. The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animal – The Impala. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains game in Africa.

Day 5 SERENGETI
Spend the days with early morning and afternoon game drives in this vast park known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains. Many cross the marshy western corridor’s crocodile-infested Grumeti River. Others veer northeast to the Lobo Hills, home to black eagles. Black rhinos inhabit the granite outcrops of the Moru Kopjes.

Day 6 SERENGETI / LAKE NATRON
After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive en route towards north Serengeti. Check out of the park at Klein’s gate then proceed to Lake Natron. Picnic lunch
Enjoy an evening Lake Natron walk for sunset if time permits
Dinner and overnight at LAKE NATRON TENTED CAMP (Full Board)
Day 7 LAKE NATRON / ARUSHA
Breakfast at the camp
Optional waterfall hike and swim (Depending on what time your flight is leaving). Afterwards drive to Arusha for airport drop off or overnight.
